Nancy Pelosi has delegated negotiations with pro-lifers to the Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee Henry Waxman (D-CA, left). After negotiating with pro-life leader Bart Stupak, Henry Waxman claimed that the abortion debate should already be over. He said, "We have done everything we can to ensure that there will be no federal funds for abortion services." Now, Bart Stupak has issued a warning that the claim that the debate is over may lead to an attempt by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Chairwoman of the Rules Committee Louise Slaughter (D-NY) to silence pro-lifers.
