"It is unfortunate that our foreign policy has been so mismanaged that the American people now seem to equate a moral foreign policy with an interventionist foreign policy." Congressman Ron Paul made that statement on September 15th, 1976. That was the year after America's military was pulled out of Vietnam.
Once upon a time America was a "neutral power" that minded its own business and did not go in search of wars to stick its national nose into. Then, it joined the United Nations, and became an "interventionist power" sticking it nose in war after war for the UN, or NATO, a UN subsidiary. President George Herbert Walker Bush ordered American forces into an attack on Iraq January 16, 1999. That was 228 months ago in January 2010!!! We have had some combat contact with Iraq all those 228 months, spent billions of dollars, and lost over 4,000 American lives in this ongoing war. President Obama said he'd end the war, but it hasn't happend. This is the 4th president to sit in the White House since we entered war with Iraq for a "new world order." Where are all the Hollywood war protestors now that their Obama is in office? |
