Ban Global Currency

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has introduced legislation that would "bar the dollar from being replace by any foreign currency."

I've read some pros and some cons about this legislation. I don't understand all of its implications yet. Here is a link to another article about it.

What I think we all agree is imperative, is that we return to a commodity form of money, preferably gold. Then all of these "money changers" won't have such great influence on our economic well being.

In reading some more about this I see that Rep. Ron Paul is a co-sponsor. Do you know what he has said about this legislation?

I don't know what Ron Paul has said about this legislation. It's definitely a good idea to avoid a global currency. A global currency would have regulation probably from a global government. I hope that they don't come up with any plans at the G20 for a global currency.

It appears that Barack Obama and Timothy Geithner actually would support a global currency. They were asked if they would support a global currency and they both said no but the next day Timothy Geithner told the CFR that he was open to the idea of global currency so they're both hiding their true agenda from the public.
