    •  During the Merrimack Valley JBS MeetUp, Arthur Thompson, CEO of The John Birch Society, related a 'Bircher in action story' at the Endicott Estates in Dedham, MA on September 9, 2008. He was speaking of a single active member who should be credited with bringing down a potential leftist CIA Director. Its Very Simple. He simply entered the office of a U.S. Senator and asked the staff member if the Senator would ask Anthony 'Tony' Lake some pertinent questions during the upcoming Senate confirmation hearings. The staff forwarded the questions to the Senator. After verifying the information with The John Birch Society the U. S. Senator announced on Sunday March 16th, 1997 that he would "have some very interesting questions to ask Mr. Lake during the public Senate confirmation hearings." Suddenly, on Monday March 17th, 1997 Anthony Lake withdrew his nomination for CIA director another neocon scuttled before his leftist past was exposed'.
