For over fifty-years, members of The John Birch Society have led the drive to restore constitutional limitations on government, preserve our country's independence, and uphold the principles that have made our country the envy of mankind. JBS members live in every state in the USA, are male, or female, from every race, from many religions, from various political parties- JBS members are Americans from all walks of life.
The John Birch Society is a nationwide information and action organization, consisting of thousands of extraordinary Americans - Americans who have a deep, personal commitment to preserving freedom for future generations. members inform themselves through study and others and then work together to preserve freedom and bring about change in national policy where it is needed. Mr. Robert Welch, the founder of The JBS, in 1965, had this to say about the purposes of The JBS and who its members were: http://www.youtube.co... What do we believe in? The American system of government, a Constitutional Republic, is the finest yet developed by man; the traditional moral values of our Judeo-Christian heritage from the cornerstone of Western Civilization; the family is the most vital unit of society; the free market system, competitive capitalism, and private enterprise afford the widest opportunity and highest standard of living for all; patriotism should be based on principle, not on pragmatism, personality, or partisan politics. widespread understanding of the principles in the United States Declaration of independence and Constitution is essential to avoid policies and laws that endanger our rights. Likewise, restoring adherence to the Constitution is the cure for unaccountable government that undermines our freedoms and our nation's sovereignty. The Rights of the individual are endowed by his Creator, not by governments. The proper function of government should be limited to the protection of our God-given rights, such as life, liberty, and property; and individual rights are inseparably linked to individual responsibility. Among the most long-standing campaigns of The John Birch Society is the drive to get the United States out of The United Nations. Though hailed as a peace-keeping organization, a fully empowered UN threatens the very foundations of American independence and individual freedom. Since its founding in 1958, The JBS has been the only organization that has consistently brought the truth about the UN to millions of Americans. Edited by Bliss W. Tew on Nov 7, 2009 9:05 AM |
