Meetup Description: Article V of the Constitution provides two methods for amending the Constitution of the USA. Typically the method of having Congress put forward an Amendment and then having 3/4 of the State Legislatures ratify it for passage has been used, but some are unwisely promoting the idea of an Article V Convention, often called a "Constitutional Convention." The constitutional convention method has not been used since 1787; find out why. Find out how this type of convention can become a "runaway convention" and how such an event could endanger our constitution and our Republic. Find out some in depth information about the convention and how YOU can help prevent such a "Constitutional Convention" from being held at this time. We will have some handouts there and very inexpensive DVDs available to purchase on the topic. We will show the new 35-minute JBS DVD "Beware of Article V."

Attendence at this JBS Freedom Campaign Meetup meeting is free of charge. There's room for 40 people in the Lecture Hall in the basement of the Orem Good Earth Store. Look for the green canopy over the outside stairway leading down to the Mainspring Wellness Center on the west end of the Orem Good Earth Store.
