Ron Paul's new Campaign for Liberty has developed an innovative new precinct leader program.
Its purpose is to help its participants to identify fellow friends of freedom in their voting precincts so that they may organize themselves for political battle. This could be especially helpful in winning delegate seats during GOP precinct caucuses -- and sending folks like Bennett and Hatch into retirement. The CFL has set a goal to recruit at least 90 precinct leaders in Utah this year. Will you help us to achieve this goal? If you're both willing and able to pound the pavement in your precinct on a regular basis, then please sign up here to become a CFL precinct leader today: http://www.campaignfo... I know that Ron Paul has many friends in the John Birch Society. I hope that we'll continue to find ways that our organizations can support one another. Thanks! This is an excellent idea. Effecting our precinct is a key work in The John Birch Society as well, especially with our 100/10/6 program when "100" stands for 100 voting households in your personal neighborhood. The idea is to educate these neighbors in your precinct so that they will know what's constitutional, what isn't, what the proper role of government is, and what is improper. They'll then be able to take informed political action.
I recommend distribution of JBS reprints to voting households in your precincts. Here's where to order inexpensive, concise, superb reprinted articles from The New American Magazine: http://www.shopjbs.or... |

Taking Educational Action to bring Americans understanding while there’s still time
It’s so pleasing to see JBS members who understand and believe the oft repeated 1958 quote from JBS Founder Robert Welch. “All we must find and build and use, to win, is sufficient understanding. Let’s create that understanding and build that resistance, with everything mortal men can put into the effort – while there is still time.” One example is a JBS member named Adriana in Tucson, Arizona. Adriana has been copying the URL addresses of many New American articles and posting them on her wall on Facebook. These posts lead to discussions with her friends on Facebook. This is a modern approach to “outreach” that costs nothing but time to accomplish, but has an impact and a ripple effect as others read and comment on the posts. Posting article links leads people to The New American magazine and its website. It informs them with information that they don’t find in mainstream media. It draws new friends and strengthens existing relationships. These postings bring the discussion to a level of maturity that is not always found on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Discussions about solutions can take place quickly because it’s interactive, unlike old-fashioned newspapers where the reporter reports and you read, but there’s not much chance of feedback other than an occasional published letter-to-the-editor. Another wonderful educational tool for outreach to others is the reprinted article. The New American articles available at present are wonderful tools for building understanding. You can find these tools by visiting www.shopjbs.org and clicking on The New American, then scroll to reprints and click there (http://www.shopjbs.or... This week, I’ve asked JBS Chapter Leaders in Utah to help them Chapter Members to reach out to others at an upcoming 9-12 Project event on July 23 and at a Salt Lake City Capitol Hill Sheriff Richard Mack speech on August 8th by ordering and distributing reprints and our END THE FED slim jims to attendees at these events. As we Birchers support the “Audit the Fed” and “End the Fed” movements, I particularly like the “How the Monetary Mayhem Began,” reprint, and the “Crisis of Dollars and Sense” reprint for bringing quick and sufficient understanding to new contacts we meet. If one can converse with others about the potential for our nation to slide into the economic nightmare of hyperinflation, then, it is wise to have copies of the reprint “Lessons of the Weimer Republic” on hand to distribute. Also, under books, you’ll find both new books and the new, concise, single-subject booklets written by JBS President John F. McManus, “DOLLARS AND SENSE” and “RESTORING THE RIGHTS OF THE STATES AND THE PEOPLE.” We should use the first to support the End the Fed movement and the latter to educate all 7,000 of the State legislators in the 50 State Legislatures, opinion molders, political party leaders, local voters, and our prospects. You can find these inexpensive booklets on the website at: http://www.shopjbs.or... Remember, if Americans know the truth, then the truth can make us free. But sadly the reverse is also true, that if they don’t know the truth, then they can be deceived into bondage. |
