Bliss Tew will present information regarding the Waxman-Markey bill\, H.R. 2454\, The American Clean Energy and Securit y Act. This 1\,428-page bill has passed the U.S. House of Representatives. It assumes that anthopogenic global warming (man-caused global warming) wil l destroy our climate\, melt our ice caps\, and cause catastrophe\, and thu s Americans must reduce their energy consumption to prevent introduction of carbon-dioxide into our atmosphere\, a Green House Gas (GHS). Bliss will discuss the costs of this bill to Utahans\, the features of how this bill w orks to tax Americans\, the focus we must have to defeat the bill.
