We will be outside the Utah State Capitol Building passing out literature to the participants of the Common Sense Rally. Text from the invitation:

The Logan JBS Chapter, Tea Party group, and others will sponsor this meetup meeting. It will probably be held in a local Cache Valley middle school to accommodate the number of attendees expected. The speaker, Bliss Tew, was the Keynote speaker a the End the Fed Rally last November at the Salt Lake City Federal Reserve Building. The speaker will address sound money, constitutional provisions for money, the story of the inception of the Federal Reserve, the federal congressional disobedience to the constitution, the establishment of the Federal Reserve System, the movement to abolish the Federal Reserve System, H.R. 1207, and much more. There will be DVDs, Booklets, books, etc. for purchase on the topic of the Federal Reserve System. We hope to see you there to help us in working on solving the fiat-money problem and to restore constitutional order to our nation.

This Thursday evening planning meeting is intended for all Chapter Leaders, JBS Assistant Chapter Leaders, and JBS Chapter Secretaries who are part of Ann Turner's Section from Bountiful to Logan, if you can attend. We will give out Legislators as assignments to Chapter Leaders for our future plans for work this summer and Fall as we build toward's the 2010 legislative session. We will discuss priorities (i.e. HR 1207, HR 833, HR 1146, Opposition to LOST, support for free enterprise for medicine, Tenth Amendment enforcement, opposition to the Article V Convention, etc.). We will discuss our October 2009 Speakers Bureau Event to feature JBS CEO Art Thompson and discuss how we can make it a well attended event, what we can do to bring more prospects, who we should target with invitations, location of the event, etc. Please, bring a pen and note paper. There will be some handouts, but there may be discussions that include materials not in the handouts.

The meeting will be in Conference Room D, Level 1 of the main Salt Lake City Library, On Wednesday, July 8th, at 7:00 until 8:45 when we need to vacate the room. JBS Chapter Leaders from the Salt Lake City area, or those who can't attend the Orem or Ogden Leadership meetings, are welcome to attend. Also JBS Assistant Chapter Leaders or JBS Chapter Secretaries are welcome to attend. We will be planning some actions with our State Legislators for the last five months of the year leading up to 2010 Session and discussing priorities (i.e. H.R. 1207, Article V Convention opposition, LOST, HR 1146, etc.) Success stories as well from other cities and states to be discussed. Probably look at the article by the New York Times which we expect will be out to smear the JBS. If possible will look at the JBS website and discuss how to use it. We will be planning and discussing our actions for the October Speakers Bureau event that will feature JBS CEO Art Thompson as our speaker at the Red Lion Hotel. What can we do to build a big audience? Can we get advertising on the radio on KTALK? Looking forward to seeing our Salt Lake City- Tooele Chapter Leaders.

Article V of the Constitution provides two methods for amending the Constitution of the USA. Typically the method of having Congress put forward an Amendment and then having 3/4 of the State Legislatures ratify it for passage has been used, but some are unwisely promoting the idea of an Article V Convention, often called a "Constitutional Convention." The constitutional convention method has not been used since 1787; find out why. Find out how this type of convention can become a "runaway convention" and how such an event could endanger our constitution and our Republic. Find out some in depth information about the convention and how YOU can help prevent such a "Constitutional Convention" from being held at this time. We will have some handouts there and very inexpensive DVDs available to purchase on the topic. We will show the new 35-minute JBS DVD "Beware of Article V." Attendence at this JBS Freedom Campaign Meetup meeting is free of charge. There's room for 40 people in the Lecture Hall in the basement of the Orem Good Earth Store. Look for the green canopy over the outside stairway leading down to the Mainspring Wellness Center on the west end of the Orem Good Earth Store.

The meeting will discuss the Transatlantic Policy Network, a combination of U.S. Senators, U.S. Representatives, E.U. Parliamentarians, and Multinational Corporations that have been meeting to discuss policies of governments since 1992, without press coverage. They do not meet as public hearings.
